Ingredients
- 1 cup milk (Use a plant based milk for a vegan version)
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 tsp cornstarch
- 2 oz white chocolate (Substitute with vegan white chocolate)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract (I used an oil based extract)
- 1 1/2 oz white rum
- 3/4 oz white chocolate liqueur (or 1/2 oz vanilla vodka - also vegan friendly)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, salt, and cornstarch, and whisk to dissolve the cornstarch.
- Add the white chocolate, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract, and heat over medium-high heat, whisking regularly to melt the white chocolate.
- Bring the white hot chocolate to a bare simmer, but do not boil.
- Stir in the rum and white chocolate liqueur.
- Pour the mixture into a mug and garnish with marshmallows, whipped cream, and crushed candy cane. Enjoy!
