Ingredients
- 2 ripe fuyu persimmons, tops removed and quartered
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 ounces rye or bourbon
- 2 tablespoons persimmon puree
- 4 shakes orange bitters
- Seltzer water
- Rosemary, for garnish, optional
- Fresh cranberries, for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Place persimmons, water, and brown sugar in a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth, adjusting the consistency with water if needed.
- Fill a short cocktail glass with ice.
- Add 2 tablespoons of persimmon puree and the remaining ingredients.
- Gently stir to combine.
- Garnish with optional rosemary and cranberries.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more puree if desired.
