Ingredients

  • 1 green tea bag
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 7/8 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • 1 tablespoon whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • Optional: cranberries and assorted citrus slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the green tea bag in a 4-cup glass measuring cup and add the boiling water. Let it steep for 3-5 minutes, according to your preference, then discard the tea bag.
  2. In a 6-quart stockpot, combine 7/8 cup of water and the sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  3. Stir in the frozen orange juice and lemonade concentrates, brandy, whiskey, and the cooled tea.
  4. Transfer the mixture to freezer containers, leaving space for expansion, and freeze for at least 12 hours.
  5. To serve, scoop 1/2 cup of the slush into each glass and top with 1/2 cup of chilled soda. Garnish with cranberries and citrus slices if desired.
