Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 ounce unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 ounces light rum
  • 6 ounces hot boiled water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Soften the vanilla ice cream for about 10 minutes.
  2. Using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the butter, powdered sugar, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg until fluffy.
  3. Add the softened ice cream and beat until well mixed.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a container with a lid and freeze.
  5. When ready to serve, thaw the butter mixture slightly.
  6. Place 3 tablespoons of the mix into a glass mug and add 1 1/2 ounces of rum.
  7. Fill the rest of the glass with hot boiled water.
  8. Stir well and top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of nutmeg, and a cinnamon stick.
