Ingredients

  • 2 oz Canadian rye whiskey
  • 2 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 2-inch piece of orange peel
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Using a potato peeler or sharp knife, peel a 2-inch strip from the outside of an orange.
  2. Pinch the peel to release the oils and drop into an old-fashioned glass.
  3. Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice.
  4. Pour the Canadian rye whiskey over the ice.
  5. Add the fresh orange juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup into the glass.
  6. Gently stir to mix and infuse the flavors.
  7. Garnish with the orange peel and serve.
