Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz apple cider
  • 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz pasteurized egg whites
  • 4 dashes angostura bitters
  • 1/4 oz simple syrup

Instructions

  1. Combine bourbon, apple cider, lemon juice, egg whites, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Dry shake (shake without ice) for 30 seconds, then add ice and shake again for 20 seconds.
  3. Strain the mixture into a coupe glass.
  4. Top the cocktail with angostura bitters.
  5. To create bitters hearts, use a dropper to place the bitter drops and then drag a toothpick through the foam to form hearts.
