Ingredients
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (chilled)
- 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar (or to taste)
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey
- 1 cup hot, freshly brewed, strong black coffee
- Granulated sugar (to taste)
Instructions
- In a medium-sized bowl, use an electric mixer or whisk to beat the cream, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form, for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Prepare a coffee cup or mug by rinsing it with hot water and then drying it.
- Pour 1 1/2 ounces of whiskey into the prepared cup or mug.
- Add 1 cup of hot coffee and sugar to taste to the cup or mug, and stir well.
- Top the coffee with a generous dollop of the whipped cream.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
