Ingredients

  • 8 oz very hot water
  • 6 oz strong brewed coffee
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 oz Irish whiskey
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (soft peaks)
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour hot water into a large coffee mug and let it sit while you brew your coffee.
  2. Discard the hot water and add 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar to the mug.
  3. Pour the hot brewed coffee into the mug.
  4. Stir to combine and melt the sugars.
  5. Add the whiskey to the mug and stir to combine.
  6. In a bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  7. Top the coffee with the soft whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
