Ingredients
- 2 oz whiskey
- 0.75 oz lemon juice
- 0.75 oz simple syrup
- 1 egg white (optional)
- Lemon wedge for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- If using egg white, combine whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a cocktail shaker without ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to a minute.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake until the mixture is chilled.
- If not using egg white, combine whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
- Double-strain the mixture into a chilled sour or cocktail glass, or into an Old-Fashioned glass over ice.
- Optionally, garnish with a lemon wedge and serve.
