Vanilla Coffee Dream
Indulge in the rich and creamy Vanilla Coffee Dream, a delightful coffee martini with a hint of vanilla and a touch of sweetness.
Ingredients
- 10 to 12 coffee beans
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped
- 2 ounces Pyrat Rum XO Reserve (or 2 ounces bourbon)
- 3 tablespoons half and half
Instructions
- Crush the coffee beans using a mortar and pestle or a heavy skillet on a cutting board.
- In a small saucepan, simmer the sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. Add the scraped seeds from the vanilla bean and whisk the mixture.
- Let the vanilla simple syrup cool.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add the crushed coffee beans, 1 tablespoon of the vanilla simple syrup, the rum, and half-and-half to the shaker.
- Shake the mixture until well-chilled, for at least 30 seconds.
- Strain the drink through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled martini glass, discarding the coffee beans. Serve chilled.
