Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 egg, beaten
  • 3 tbsp coconut milk
  • 3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp Maker's 46(r) Bourbon
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp coconut extract
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
  • Sweetened flaked coconut for garnish
  • Turbinado sugar for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, combine heavy cream and beaten egg, then cook over simmering water until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Strain the egg custard mixture into a large bowl, then whisk in coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, Maker's 46(r) Bourbon, vanilla extract, coconut extract, and ground nutmeg until well combined.
  3. Add cinnamon stick, cover the mixture, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  4. Rim the glass with turbinado sugar by dipping it in water and then sugar, then chill for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Pour the chilled eggnog into the sugar-rimmed glass, garnish with sweetened flaked coconut, and grated nutmeg, and add ice if desired. Enjoy!
