Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp Maker's 46(r) Bourbon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp coconut extract
  • 1/4 cinnamon stick
  • Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
  • Sweetened flaked coconut for garnish
  • Turbinado sugar for garnish
  • Cinnamon stick for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, combine heavy cream and beaten eggs, whisk to combine, and cook over simmering water until the mixture thickens.
  2. Strain the egg custard mixture into a large bowl.
  3. Whisk in the coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, Maker's 46(r) bourbon, vanilla extract, coconut extract, and ground nutmeg until thoroughly combined.
  4. Add more bourbon to taste if desired and nestle the cinnamon stick into the mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  5. Rim the glasses with turbinado sugar and chill.
  6. Pour the eggnog into the sugar-rimmed glasses, garnish with sweetened flaked coconut, freshly grated nutmeg, and a cinnamon stick if desired.
