Tirami-sips
A delectable mini version of the classic tiramisu dessert, served in small martini glasses for elegant individual portions.
Ingredients
- 3.50 fl oz espresso coffee (or strong instant coffee)
- 2 tbsp coffee liqueur
- 4 ladyfinger cookies
- 2 large egg whites
- 8.80 oz mascarpone cheese
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp Marsala wine
- Approximately 1 tsp good-quality cocoa powder
Instructions
- Brew the espresso and allow it to cool, then mix in the coffee liqueur.
- Break the ladyfinger cookies into small pieces and distribute them into martini glasses.
- Pour the cooled espresso mixture over the ladyfinger pieces, ensuring they are fully soaked.
- Using an electric hand-held whisk, beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks, then set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine the mascarpone and honey, then beat until smooth. Slowly beat in the Marsala.
- Fold the egg whites into the mascarpone mixture in thirds, then spoon the mixture over the soaked ladyfingers in each glass.
- Refrigerate the glasses for at least 20 minutes or up to 24 hours.
- Before serving, dust the tops with cocoa powder using a fine-mesh strainer.
