Ingredients
- 4 oz Spanish Rioja (or another dry light-bodied red wine)
- 1/2 oz brandy (apple brandy can be used)
- 1/2 oz cranberry juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1 orange slice
- 1 tbsp fresh cranberries
- 1-2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 pinch whole peppercorns (in a sachet)
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine the wine, brandy, cranberry juice, simple syrup, orange slice, fresh cranberries, cinnamon sticks, and the sachet of peppercorns.
- Stir to combine the ingredients.
- Set the slow cooker to high and cook the sangria for one hour.
- Once cooked, set the temperature to low to keep the sangria warm for up to 5 hours.
- Serve in an insulated mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
