Ingredients

  • 2 oz orange juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 dried figs
  • 2-3 fresh sage leaves
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • Ground cinnamon (optional, for garnish)
  • Sugar (optional, for garnish)
  • 5 oz Champagne

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice, cinnamon stick, dried figs, sage leaves, and ground cloves.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then remove from heat and let it steep for 15 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture, pressing down on the figs to release any juice, and refrigerate until chilled, preferably the day before serving.
  4. For a cinnamon-sugar rim, mix cinnamon and sugar on a small plate. Dip the rim of the flute into water, then into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. Pour 2 ounces of the infused orange juice into a Champagne flute and top with 5 ounces of Champagne. Enjoy!
