Ingredients
- 2 lemongrass stalks
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 oz Kentucky bourbon
- 5 large Thai basil leaves
- 2 tbsp lemongrass syrup
- 1 tbsp cold water
- Crushed ice
- Additional Thai basil (for garnish)
Instructions
- For the syrup, chop lemongrass into small 1-inch pieces.
- In a small pot, bring water, sugar, and chopped lemongrass to a boil and let it simmer for about 20 minutes until the mixture becomes a thick syrup.
