Sundara's Spice Infusion Cocktail
A tropical cocktail with cardamom, star anise, passionfruit, dark rum, and Grand Marnier, finished with a touch of saffron for a luxurious twist.
Ingredients
- 2 cardamom pods
- 1 star anise
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon caster sugar
- 2 tablespoons dark rum
- 2 teaspoons Grand Marnier
- 2 tablespoons passionfruit juice
- 1/2 eggwhite
- Pulp from 1 passionfruit
- Saffron threads (optional), to serve
Instructions
- Lightly crush the cardamom pods and star anise in a mortar and pestle.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the crushed spices, lime juice, caster sugar, dark rum, Grand Marnier, passionfruit juice, eggwhite, and 1 teaspoon of cold water.
- Top the mixture with ice and shake until well combined.
- Place the passionfruit pulp in a martini glass.
- Strain the cocktail over the passionfruit pulp in the glass.
- Optionally, top with saffron threads before serving.
