Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries
  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon Black Peppercorns

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat granulated sugar and water until boiling, then let it simmer for one minute.
  2. Add fresh rosemary and black peppercorns, and let the mixture simmer for at least 20 minutes. Crush the rosemary to release more flavor, then let the syrup cool and pour it into a glass jar.
  3. Chill a coupe glass in the freezer, optionally adding ice cubes to speed up the chilling process.
  4. Muddle strawberries and the prepared simple syrup in a shaker until the strawberries are crushed.
  5. Add lime juice and gin to the shaker, and shake for 20 seconds.
  6. Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass and garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a strawberry.
