Strawberry Rosemary Gin Fizz
A refreshing and sophisticated gin cocktail with the flavors of fresh strawberries, zesty lime, and aromatic rosemary, enhanced by a unique Rosemary Peppercorn Simple Syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Fresh Strawberries
- 2 fl oz Gin
- 1 Lime
- 1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup Water
- 2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
- 1 tsp Black Peppercorns
Instructions
- Start by making the Rosemary Peppercorn Simple Syrup. In a small saucepan over high heat, combine the Granulated Sugar and Water, and bring to a boil. Let it boil for a minute, then remove from heat.
- Add the Fresh Rosemary and Black Peppercorns to the syrup, and let it simmer for at least 20 minutes, crushing the rosemary with a spoon to release the flavors. Once cooled, pour the syrup into a sealable glass jar and set it aside.
- Chill the coupe glass by placing it in the freezer. You can also add a few ice cubes to speed up the chilling process.
- In a shaker, muddle the Fresh Strawberries and simple syrup until the strawberries are crushed.
- Add the juice of the Lime and Gin to the shaker, and shake for 20 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass and garnish with a sprig of Fresh Rosemary and a whole strawberry.
