Ingredients

  • 0.10 ounce cherry jello (or strawberry jello)
  • 0.10 ounce berry blue jello (or blue raspberry jello)
  • 3 tablespoons boiling water (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons clear vodka (or up to 3 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon clear gelatin (two 0.25 oz packets of clear gelatin)
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • Whipped cream
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the cherry jello with 1 tablespoon of boiling water and stir until fully dissolved.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix berry blue jello with 1 tablespoon of boiling water until fully dissolved.
  3. In a measuring cup, combine clear vodka with cold water to make 1/4 cup of liquid for each jello flavor.
  4. Pour the blue jello mixture into the vodka mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Fill the bottom 1/3 of shot glasses with the blue mixture and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
  6. In a bowl, dissolve clear gelatin in 1 tablespoon of boiling water, then add sweetened condensed milk and 1 tablespoon of cold water. Mix until fully combined.
  7. Pour the white jello mixture over the set blue layer in the shot glasses, filling them 2/3 of the way full. Refrigerate until set (about 1 hour).
  8. Prepare the red jello layer in the same way as the blue layer and pour it over the set white layer in the shot glasses to fill them to the top. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until fully set.
  9. Just before serving, top the jello shots with whipped cream and sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles.
