Ingredients
- 0.50 oz Absinthe (for rinsing)
- 2 oz Sazerac Rye
- 0.50 oz Simple syrup
- 3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
- 1 lemon peel (used as garnish)
Instructions
- Coat a rocks glass with the Absinthe, fill it with plenty of ice, and set aside.
- In a mixing glass with plenty of ice, combine Sazerac Rye, simple syrup, and Peychaud's bitters. Stir until well chilled.
- Empty the rocks glass, removing the ice and excess Absinthe.
- Strain the chilled cocktail from the mixing glass into the rocks glass.
- Garnish the cocktail with a twist of lemon.
