Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz white rum (such as Cruzan)
  • 1 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • 3/4 oz Pierre Ferrand dry orange curaçao
  • 1/2 oz orgeat syrup
  • 1/4 oz absinthe or Herbsaint
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice mix (cinnamon, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, dried Sichuan pepper, star anise)
  • Mint sprig, for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pumpkin spice mix by combining all the spice ingredients in a small container.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, mix the white rum, lime juice, orange curaçao, orgeat syrup, absinthe, and pumpkin spice mix. Add ice to the shaker.
  3. Shake the ingredients until chilled.
  4. Fine-strain the mixture into a double old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of pumpkin spice on top and garnish with a mint sprig.
