Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz good-quality bourbon
- 1 oz spiced cranberry simple syrup
- 3/4 oz beaten egg white
- 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
- Dehydrated orange slice (for garnish)
- Ice
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the bourbon, spiced cranberry simple syrup, beaten egg white, and lemon juice.
- Add enough ice to fill the majority of the shaker.
- Close the shaker and shake vigorously for approximately 15 seconds until condensation appears on the outside of the shaker.
- Empty the ice from the glass and strain the whiskey sour into it.
- Top with 2 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters and 1 dash of orange bitters.
- Use a clean knife, toothpick, or straw to drag across the dash of Angostura to make a heart shape.
- Garnish the cocktail rim with a dehydrated orange slice and serve immediately.
