Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 cinnamon stick (3-inch)
  • Pinch of fine sea salt
  • 1/4 cup 100% pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 oz brandy
  • 1/4 small green Anjou pear, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 small persimmon, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 small orange, thinly sliced and quartered
  • 1/4 small lime, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp pomegranate arils
  • 1/4 cup Lambrusco

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, boil sugar, water, cinnamon stick, and sea salt to make cinnamon syrup. Let it infuse for about an hour, then remove and discard the cinnamon stick.
  2. In a large pitcher, mix pomegranate juice, brandy, and 1/4 cup of the cinnamon syrup. Add pear, persimmon, orange, lime, and pomegranate arils. Chill for at least 4 hours.
  3. Stir in 1/4 cup Lambrusco into the chilled mixture. Serve over ice and top with the remaining Lambrusco.
