Ingredients
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- Pinch of fine sea salt
- 1/4 cup 100% pomegranate juice
- 1 oz brandy
- 1 small green Anjou pear, thinly sliced
- 1 small persimmon, thinly sliced
- 1 small orange, sliced and quartered
- 1 small lime, sliced
- 2 oz Lambrusco
- Ice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water, cinnamon stick, and sea salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cinnamon flavor infuses, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it steep at room temperature for about 1 hour. Discard the cinnamon stick.
- In a large pitcher, whisk together pomegranate juice, brandy, and 1/4 cup of the cinnamon syrup. Add the pear, persimmon, orange, lime, and pomegranate arils. Chill the mixture for at least 4 hours or up to 12 hours, allowing the flavors to combine.
- Stir about 2 1/2 oz of Lambrusco into the chilled pomegranate juice mixture. Pour the sangria with fruit over ice in glasses. Top each glass with the remaining Lambrusco. Serve immediately.
