Smoky Rosemary Mezcal Paloma
A refreshingly complex cocktail with smoky Mezcal, sweet grapefruit, tangy lime, and a hint of bitterness, topped off with a smoked rosemary garnish.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp coarse pink salt
- 2 oz Mezcal
- 1.50 oz pink grapefruit juice (freshly-squeezed)
- 1 oz lime juice (freshly-squeezed)
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1 tbsp Aperol
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
Instructions
- Spread the salt on a small plate. Moisten the rim of the glass with grapefruit juice and dip into the salt, coating the rim.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the Mezcal, grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and Aperol. Fill the shaker with ice, shake vigorously for about 20 seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass.
- Light the rosemary sprig, then extinguish and place it in the glass while still smoking.
