Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp coarse pink salt
  • 2 oz Mezcal
  • 1.50 oz pink grapefruit juice (freshly-squeezed)
  • 1 oz lime juice (freshly-squeezed)
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 tbsp Aperol
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Spread the salt on a small plate. Moisten the rim of the glass with grapefruit juice and dip into the salt, coating the rim.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the Mezcal, grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and Aperol. Fill the shaker with ice, shake vigorously for about 20 seconds.
  3. Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass.
  4. Light the rosemary sprig, then extinguish and place it in the glass while still smoking.
