Smoky Rose Paloma
A refreshing and complex cocktail with a smoky, sweet, and tangy flavor, accented with a hint of bitterness and a touch of aromatic smoke.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp coarse pink salt
- 2 oz Mezcal
- 1.50 oz pink grapefruit juice (freshly-squeezed)
- 1 oz lime juice (freshly-squeezed)
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1 tbsp Aperol
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
Instructions
- Spread the salt on a small plate. Moisten the rim of the glass with grapefruit juice and then dip into the salt to coat the rim.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal, grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and Aperol.
- Fill the shaker with ice, seal, and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass.
- Light the rosemary sprig and then extinguish immediately. Place the smoking sprig in the glass as a garnish.
