Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp coarse pink salt
  • 2 oz Mezcal
  • 1.50 oz pink grapefruit juice (freshly-squeezed)
  • 1 oz lime juice (freshly-squeezed)
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 tbsp Aperol
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Spread the salt on a small plate. Moisten the rim of the glass with grapefruit juice and then dip into the salt to coat the rim.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal, grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and Aperol.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice, seal, and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds.
  4. Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass.
  5. Light the rosemary sprig and then extinguish immediately. Place the smoking sprig in the glass as a garnish.
