Ingredients
- 2 oz dark chocolate, 70%, chopped
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 oz mezcal
- 1 oz Madeira wine
- whipped cream, for serving
- chocolate shavings, for serving
Instructions
- Make the hot fudge sauce: Combine the dark chocolate, cocoa powder, and salt in a heat-proof bowl.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until boiling. Pour over the chopped chocolate mixture, let sit, then whisk until smooth.
- For the cocktail, heat the milk and 1/4 cup of the hot fudge sauce in a saucepan, then add the mezcal and Madeira. Stir to combine, then pour into a glass mug.
- Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Serve immediately.
