Ingredients
- 1 tbsp salted butter (softened)
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp rum extract (or rum emulsion)
- 1/4 cup vanilla ice cream (softened)
- 1 cup boiling water
- cinnamon stick (for garnish (optional))
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, blend softened butter, powdered sugar, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until fluffy.
- Add rum extract and softened vanilla ice cream to the bowl and mix until well combined with only a few clumps.
- Transfer the buttered rum mixture to a sealable container and freeze until firm for about 2-4 hours.
- When ready to serve, boil 1 cup of water. Scoop approximately 1/2 cup of buttered rum mixture into a glass.
- Pour boiling water over the mixture and stir well.
- Optionally, garnish with a cinnamon stick for added flavor and as a stirring implement.
