Ingredients
- 1/4 cup raw cashews
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1/2 vanilla bean pod, split lengthwise and seeds scraped out
- Pinch of salt
- 1.35 ounces vodka
- 0.67 ounce Tia Maria (or other vegan coffee liqueur)
Instructions
- Soak the cashews in 1 cup of boiling water for 15 minutes.
- Drain the cashews and blend them with maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and 3/4 cup of water until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a muslin cloth for extra silkiness.
- Set the cashew milk aside in the fridge.
- In a glass, add ice cubes, then pour in the Tia Maria and vodka.
- Gently pour 1 ounce of the cashew milk over the back of a teaspoon to create a layered effect.
- Stir before enjoying.
