Sangria Soirée
This delightful Sangria Soirée is a sweet-tart wine punch that originated from the Junior League of Houston book club in the 1970s. With its fruity red wine base, zesty citrus juices, and a splash of ginger ale, it's the perfect refreshing beverage to enjoy during book club gatherings, parties, or any social occasion.

A fruity and refreshing wine punch with citrus juices and ginger ale, perfect for social gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 5 oz fruity red wine, such as pinot noir
- 0.50 oz brandy
- 0.50 oz fresh orange juice
- 0.50 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.50 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 oz ginger ale
- 1/4 cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1 slice each of orange, lemon, and lime
- 1/4 fresh peach, pitted and sliced
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring sugar and 1/2 cup of water to a boil, then simmer until the sugar dissolves; remove from heat.
- Transfer the sugar syrup to a pitcher and let it cool to room temperature.
- Add the wine, brandy, and citrus juices to the pitcher, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Just before serving, stir in the ginger ale, pineapple, citrus slices, and peaches.
- Pour the sangria into a glass filled with ice and garnish with some of the fruit.
- Serve the Sangria Soirée immediately and enjoy!
