Ingredients

  • 1.50 oz tequila
  • 1 oz prickly pear juice
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 0.50 oz simple syrup
  • Coarse salt for rimming the glass
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the prickly pear juice by peeling the fruit, blending the insides until smooth, and straining up to three times.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, prickly pear juice, lime juice, and simple syrup.
  3. Add ice to the shaker and shake to chill the mixture.
  4. Dip the rim of a glass in lime juice and then in coarse salt to rim the glass.
  5. Pour the prepared margarita mix into the rimmed glass and serve.
