Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup white rum
  • 2 tablespoons fresh grapefruit juice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the pomegranate juice and sugar to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let it boil until it reduces to 1/4 cup, for about 5 minutes. Then, allow the syrup to cool.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 tablespoons of the pomegranate syrup, 1/4 cup of white rum, and 2 tablespoons of fresh grapefruit juice.
  3. Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously.
  4. Strain the cocktail into a chilled Martini glass.
  5. Repeat the process to make additional servings.
