Ingredients

  • 2 plums, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 oz white wine
  • 2 oz vodka
  • Ice cubes
  • 4 oz cava, Prosecco, or other sparkling wine

Instructions

  1. Coarsely chop the plums and place them in a bowl. Sprinkle with sugar and mix well. Let the mixture macerate for 30 minutes until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Transfer the plum mixture to a large airtight container and stir in the white wine and vodka. Cover and refrigerate for 7 days to allow the flavors to infuse.
  3. After 7 days, strain the mistelle.
  4. To serve, pour 1 part mistelle over ice and mix with 2 parts cava, Prosecco, or other bubbly wine.
