Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3/4 tablespoon black tea
- Juice from 1 navel orange (about 1/2 cup)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Ice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine water and cinnamon stick. Heat over medium heat until the water is about to bubble rapidly, then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Cover and simmer for 4-5 minutes with the lid slightly askew.
- Remove from heat, add black tea, and cover to steep for 4-5 minutes.
- Strain the tea and stir in the honey. Allow it to cool slightly.
- If using a cocktail shaker, combine half of the brewed tea, half of the orange juice, and plenty of ice cubes. Shake vigorously, then pour into a serving glass with ice.
- If not using a cocktail shaker, chill the brewed black tea in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes. Then, stir in the orange juice and pour into serving glasses with plenty of ice.
