Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces silver tequila
  • Cold soda water or sparkling water
  • 1 lime, sliced into thin wheels

Instructions

  1. Tear the mint leaves into pieces and place them in a 24-ounce cocktail shaker along with the lime juice, sugar, and tequila.
  2. Add crushed ice to the shaker and shake well to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Strain the mixture over ice into lowball glasses.
  4. Top off the glasses with soda water.
  5. Garnish with mint leaves and lime slices.
