Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon matcha
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2-3 tablespoons homemade earl grey tea simple syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons of loose leaf earl grey tea (or 4 tea bags)
Instructions
- To make the earl grey simple syrup, boil water and steep the earl grey tea for 5 minutes in a small saucepan.
- Strain the tea leaves or remove the tea bags. Then, return the saucepan to the stove and bring it to a slow boil. Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let the earl grey tea simple syrup cool completely before using it for the iced matcha latte.
- To assemble the iced matcha latte, sift the matcha powder into a vessel with a resealable lid and add cold water to make cold brew matcha.
- Seal the vessel and shake vigorously for 15 seconds or until there is froth on the top layer and no matcha clumps.
- Fill a glass halfway with ice, pour the cold brew matcha, milk, and earl grey tea simple syrup over the ice.
- Stir everything together and enjoy!
