Marzipan Mix-Up

A delightful mix of mezcal, tequila, sherry, and marzipan syrup, creating a sweet and nutty flavor profile perfect for sipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Los Amantes joven mezcal
  • 3/4 oz Espolón reposado tequila
  • 1/4 oz Lustau oloroso sherry
  • 1/4 oz marzipan syrup (see note below for preparation)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing glass with ice, combine the mezcal, tequila, sherry, and marzipan syrup.
  2. Stir the mixture until well chilled.
  3. Strain the cocktail into a double rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  4. *Marzipan syrup preparation: Simmer 3 cups crushed De La Rosa peanut marzipan candies and 3 cups water until the sugar is dissolved and only the peanut pieces are left floating. Strain through a chinois and bottle. Keeps for up to 6 days refrigerated.
