Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp Orange Juice
  • 1/2 tbsp Orange Zest
  • 6 tbsp Water
  • 1/4 cup Corn Syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1/4 cup Bourbon
  • 2 tbsp Dry Vermouth
  • Orange Peel and Maraschino Cherries for Garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together orange juice, orange zest, water, corn syrup, bitters, bourbon, and vermouth until well combined.
  2. Transfer the mixture to the freezer and chill until very cold, for at least 1 1/2 hours.
  3. Once chilled, transfer the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn until it reaches a soft sorbet consistency similar to a slushie.
  4. Place the churned slushie in an airtight container and chill in the freezer until ready to serve.
  5. When ready to serve, run the orange peel around the rim of the glass.
  6. Pour a spoonful of maraschino cherry juice into the bottom of the glass and add the desired amount of slushie on top.
  7. Optionally, top with a spoonful of additional bourbon and garnish with a cherry on top.
  8. Enjoy the Manhattan Chill Slush immediately.
