Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • 1.50 oz Everclear (or quality vodka)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 vanilla bean
  • cheesecloth
  • bottle

Instructions

  1. Zest the lemon and combine with Everclear in a container to infuse for a week.
  2. Warm milk, sugar, and vanilla bean in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature.
  3. Remove the vanilla bean and strain the mixture through cheesecloth.
  4. Combine the lemon-infused Everclear with the sweet milk mixture, stir together, and strain through cheesecloth.
  5. Funnel the mixture into a bottle and store in the freezer. Serve in chilled glasses.
