Ingredients

  • 1 oz Japanese whisky
  • 4 oz club soda

Instructions

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice and stir for about 30 seconds to chill the glass and smooth the corners of the ice.
  2. Pour off any melted ice water.
  3. Add the Japanese whisky and stir for about 3-5 seconds or 13.5 turns clockwise.
  4. Using a bar spoon, gently pour the club soda down the spoon to reach the bottom of the glass, gently lifting the bottom ice cube, or tilt the glass and pour the club soda gently down the side.
  5. Do one brief gentle stir or stir 3.5 times clockwise.
