Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Japanese whisky
  • 4 ounces club soda

Instructions

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice and stir for about 30 seconds to chill the glass and smooth the corners of the ice.
  2. Pour off any melted ice water.
  3. Add the Japanese whisky and stir for about 3-5 seconds or 13.5 turns clockwise.
  4. Using a bar spoon, pour the club soda down the spoon to reach the bottom of the glass, gently lifting the bottom ice cube, or tilt the glass and pour the club soda down the side of the glass.
  5. Do one brief gentle stir or stir 3.5 times clockwise.
