Italian Citrus Sparkler

A robust and citrusy sangria made with Chianti, oranges, limoncello, triple sec, and Campari.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz Chianti
  • 1/4 large navel orange
  • 2/3 oz limoncello
  • 1/3 oz Campari
  • 1/3 oz triple sec
  • 1/6 oz simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Orange wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut two slices from the middle of the orange and muddle them in the bottom of a glass pitcher.
  2. Juice the remainder of the orange and add it to the pitcher along with the wine, limoncello, Campari, triple sec, and simple syrup. Stir to combine.
  3. Chill the sangria for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to blend.
  4. Pour over ice and add 2 dashes of bitters to the glass.
  5. Garnish with an orange wedge.
