Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup strong coffee
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons good quality cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup espresso
  • 2 tablespoons whiskey (optional)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Whipped cream (to serve)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, strong coffee, cocoa powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Simmer until the mixture reduces and thickens, then set aside to cool.
  2. In a blender, combine vanilla ice cream, espresso, whiskey, milk, and blend until smooth.
