Ingredients
- 1 tsp matcha
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2-3 tbsp earl grey tea simple syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tsp earl grey loose leaf tea (or 4 tea bags)
Instructions
- To make the earl grey simple syrup, boil water and steep earl grey tea for 5 minutes in a small saucepan.
- Strain the tea leaves or remove the tea bags, then return the saucepan to the stove and bring to a slow boil.
- Stir in sugar until dissolved, then remove from heat and let the tea simple syrup cool completely before using it for the iced bergamot matcha cooler.
- To assemble the drink, sift the matcha powder in a vessel with a resealable lid, and add cold water to make cold brew matcha.
- Seal and shake vigorously for 15 seconds or until frothy, with no matcha clumps.
- Fill a glass halfway with ice, then pour the cold brew matcha, milk, and earl grey tea simple syrup over the ice.
- Stir everything together and enjoy!
