Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1 ounce hibiscus syrup
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 ounce agave syrup
  • hibiscus salt or margarita salt
  • dried hibiscus flower, fresh mint, or lime wedge (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a cocktail glass by dipping the edge in lime juice and then in hibiscus salt or margarita salt to coat the rim.
  2. Add fresh ice to the prepared glass and set it aside.
  3. In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the tequila, orange liqueur, hibiscus syrup, freshly squeezed lime juice, and agave syrup.
  4. Shake the mixture until it's nice and cold, about 10 seconds.
  5. Carefully strain and pour the cocktail into the prepared glass.
