Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz bourbon
  • 1 1/2 oz cognac
  • 1 1/2 oz aged rum
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 farm fresh eggs
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • a dash of freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs.
  2. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until they thicken and turn pale.
  3. Gradually add the bourbon, cognac, rum, milk, and cream while continuing to whisk.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites and salt until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg whites into the mixture.
  6. Bottle and refrigerate until chilled, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. When serving, pour into a chilled glass and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
