Ingredients

  • Dried rose and sugar rim (optional)
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber
  • 1.50 oz gin
  • Dash of elderflower cordial
  • Lemon or lime juice, to taste
  • Soda water and/or tonic water
  • Edible flowers frozen into ice cubes, to serve (optional)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. If making a dried rose and sugar rim, crush caster sugar and dried rose petals together on a plate, then coat the rim of a glass in citrus juice and dip it into the sugar mix to create an even layer.
  2. Slice strips off a Lebanese cucumber with a vegetable peeler for garnish and muddle the rest in a cocktail shaker.
  3. Add ice, gin, elderflower cordial, and a small squeeze of lemon or lime juice to the shaker, and shake vigorously.
  4. Strain the mixture into a glass, top it up with soda and/or tonic water, and garnish with edible flower ice cubes, if using, and cucumber strips.
