Ingredients

  • 4 fl oz grapefruit juice
  • 2 fl oz freshly squeezed orange juice (I used Cara Cara)
  • 2 fl oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz agave syrup or simple syrup
  • 4 oz Blanco tequila
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 teaspoon salt, sugar, and tajin, for glass rim
  • Grapefruit slice, for garnish
  • Mint sprig, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large measuring glass or pitcher, mix together grapefruit juice, orange juice, lime juice, agave nectar, and Blanco tequila.
  2. Pour the mixture into ice cube molds and freeze until solid, at least 4-6 hours.
  3. Transfer the frozen mixture into a high-power blender with 1 cup of ice and blend until smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds.
  4. On a small plate, combine equal amounts of salt, sugar, and tajin (about 1 tsp each).
  5. Run the edge of the glass with a grapefruit slice and dip the glass edge into the salt, sugar, and tajin mixture.
  6. Transfer the slushee mixture into a glass.
  7. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and mint sprig.
