Frozen Citrus Tequila Slush

It's a fun and refreshing twist on a traditional paloma that can be made ahead and blended till smooth the moment you are ready to serve!
Frozen Citrus Tequila Slush
A refreshing and zesty frozen cocktail bursting with the flavors of grapefruit, orange, and lime juices, finished with a sweet, salty, and spicy Tajin rim.
Ingredients
- 4 fl oz grapefruit juice
- 2 fl oz freshly squeezed orange juice (I used Cara Cara)
- 2 fl oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz agave syrup or simple syrup
- 4 oz Blanco tequila
- 1 cup ice
- 1 teaspoon salt, sugar, and tajin, for glass rim
- Grapefruit slice, for garnish
- Mint sprig, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large measuring glass or pitcher, mix together grapefruit juice, orange juice, lime juice, agave nectar, and Blanco tequila.
- Pour the mixture into ice cube molds and freeze until solid, at least 4-6 hours.
- Transfer the frozen mixture into a high-power blender with 1 cup of ice and blend until smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds.
- On a small plate, combine equal amounts of salt, sugar, and tajin (about 1 tsp each).
- Run the edge of the glass with a grapefruit slice and dip the glass edge into the salt, sugar, and tajin mixture.
- Transfer the slushee mixture into a glass.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and mint sprig.
