Fresh Berry-Cucumber Mule

A refreshing and flavorful cocktail that combines the sweetness of blackberries with the crispness of cucumber and the zing of ginger beer.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe blackberries
  • 2 slices cucumber (1/4 inch thick)
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (1:1 ratio of sugar to water)
  • 2 1/2 oz ginger beer
  • GARNISH: mint sprig and cucumber wheel

Instructions

  1. Muddle blackberries, cucumber, and mint in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker, then fill it with ice.
  3. Shake until well chilled, about 12 seconds.
  4. Double-strain into an ice-filled collins glass.
  5. Pour the ginger beer down the side of the glass.
  6. Give it a brief, gentle stir.
  7. Garnish with a mint sprig and cucumber wheel.
  8. Add a straw if desired.
