Fresh Berry-Cucumber Mule
Just when this crowd-pleasing berry drink heats things up--hi there, ginger beer--it starts to cool things down, thanks to muddled cucumber and mint.
Fresh Berry-Cucumber Mule
A refreshing and flavorful cocktail that combines the sweetness of blackberries with the crispness of cucumber and the zing of ginger beer.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe blackberries
- 2 slices cucumber (1/4 inch thick)
- 10 fresh mint leaves
- 2 oz vodka
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup (1:1 ratio of sugar to water)
- 2 1/2 oz ginger beer
- GARNISH: mint sprig and cucumber wheel
Instructions
- Muddle blackberries, cucumber, and mint in a cocktail shaker.
- Add vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker, then fill it with ice.
- Shake until well chilled, about 12 seconds.
- Double-strain into an ice-filled collins glass.
- Pour the ginger beer down the side of the glass.
- Give it a brief, gentle stir.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and cucumber wheel.
- Add a straw if desired.
